Ronald Mayinja from Uganda

Ronald Mayinja is part of the reputable Eagles Productions, a band that entered stage already some years ago. But recent years have pushed him as a solo singer and songwriter to the top of Ugandas music charts, he won music prices for best artist, best album etc. in 2007 and 2008. Most of his lyrics he writes in Luganda, the local language of Uganda. That is why he is not so much heart outside the country, but there are exceptions, like the video 'Africa', which has touched the whole continent.

Sophie Nantongo from Uganda

Sophie Nantongo was born as a daughter of a theatre proprietor and a church vocalist, and she liked singing ever since she was a little child.

After finishing Aga Khan High School in Kampala, she joined the Stone Band to sing copyright music during cabaret nights at Grand Imperial Hotel.

Desire Luzinda from Uganda

Grace Nakimera from Uganda

Grace Nakimera was born in Kampala, her family originates from Muyanga, Bukasa.

Grace Nakimera was part of the trio Grace, Gatimo and Paragon of “Ani akumanyi” and released a single called 'Anfuukula'. after the trio split. This became a big hit in Uganda and the related video won the 2008 PAM Awards.

Obsessions from Uganda

Obsessions started originally as a mixed boy and girls group, but after some changes it is now a group of five girls. Sharon Salmon, Jackie Tusiime, Hellen Lukome, Brenda Nambi and Cleopatra Kohirwe, all very good looking and talented singers and dancers, launched their first album Wekuume in 2005, which became immediately successfull all over East Africa and beyond.
